A very long title indeed but it’s necessary for the introduction of Gaming Freak, a brand of gaming products by AVF. The GK3 is the latest of their keyboards, some of you might remember the GK2 that I reviewed not too long ago.
The keys are build right on the LED units, they’re tough to remove so you best forget about switching key caps. The GK3 Silentdeath comes with 7 colors with 3 levels of brightness each.
As for the keys, they’re very good and could almost be passed of as using mechanical switch. The GK3’s switch felt like Cherry MX Brown switch but with a much more distinct bump on each press and this is likely to be the factor to decide your purchase. The AVF Gaming Freak GK3 Silentdeath retails at RM 169.
It comes with a solid metal frame, 19 anti-ghosting keys and it also have function combo keys.

The keyboard uses braided USB cable and it has a decently large padded feet at the front but no paddings on the stand.

The only ugly thing about the keyboard is that the button status indicators are blue, and only in blue. So when you’re test to say RED color the locks light those LED in BLUE.

The Verdict
The AVF Gaming Freak GK3 Silentdeath retails at RM 169 of which I think is of a pretty good price considering the build quality, the overall appearance and being rather close to that of a mechanical switch.
