When it comes to long product names, it’s almost always the ones from AVF and yet another long name – AVF Gaming Freak GKIV Advanced Membrane Gaming Keyboard.
The AVF Gaming Freak GKIV Advanced is a full sized keyboard using membrane switches – I’m stating the obvious here.
The keycaps are non-removal but they are well printed, the colors shine through clearly when lit.
Below are the specs taken from the official product page.
Using the keyboard is straight forward, customizing it isn’t. The customization method is as seen below, there’s little to customize actually. The one that you need to memorize should you ever wish to use the media keys are the combo to activation a function.
As for the colors, here is what it looks like. There are 3 lights that can’t be disabled per se, your only means to actually disabling it is to lower the brightness till it’s off.
Some of you might wonder what does it feel like to press on it? Good question, it feels like a brown switch but being quite far from it. The 2 key indicators would be the force needed to press the keys and the bump is a lot more prominent compared to the Cherry MX brown.
The AVF Gaming Freak GKIV Advanced Membrane Gaming Keyboard retails at only RM 66 – what more can you ask for, right? The a red and black colored keyboard looks quite appealing but I feel that AVF could have done better when it comes to choice of backlight colors.
