About Me

Origins

I was born in the late 70s, in the peaceful town of Kota Bharu in the north-eastern state of Kelantan in Malaysia and studied in Sekolah Menengah Jenis Kebangsaan Chung Hwa. I graduated in the year 1996 and have moved to Kuala Lumpur since then.

I’m currently a web-designer, programmer & photographer by profession, operating under my company Orangedot Technologies. While I’m not busy with my work, I spend most of my time on Tech / Computing and Photography related forums to brush up my knowledge. Other than that, if you ever catch me outdoors, you’ll most probably see me walking around with a camera. :D

My Interests

Basically I’m a person who enjoys nature and life while appreciating the technological aspects of living.

Computers (click to expand)

My exposure to computers started even when I was a child, I was introduced to Apple IIe and even the fossilized Atari console. Soon my father bought an 8086 based PC and a few years after than, an 80286 – the first computer I dissected. After the 80286 came the 80486 which was my first computer running AMD based processor, the AM486DX280. :D

Computer Games (click to expand)

Strangely people tend to view computer gaming as kid’s stuff, or so they say ‘child’s play’. Pick up a game and let’s have a challenge, see what you can do with the game. :)

It’s more than what people think, that’s because they know probably half-a-bucket’s worth of shit about it. Pardon the tone, I’ve come by many that ridicule me for my hobby while people who watch TV get away scot-free. Gaming involves more than that, it’s involves coordination, the use of logic and reflex to prevail over a given situation. It even involves coordination & cooperation among team mates to go against other teams.

You know what, I think I’m going to write an article on this.

Writing (click to expand)

Love it. Which is why this site is up anyway. I’ve done quite a few hardware and game reviews, they’re published at TechARP. I’ll be publishing more articles here and on selected sites. Stay tuned!!! It’ll be more than just technical stuff. :)

Photography (click to expand)

Yes, It’s a beautiful way of using technology and combining it with the art of lights, colors and composition to capture beautiful moments in life, moments where words can never suffice in describing.

Web Design (click to expand)

Another form of art, sites can be simple or graphically complex but ultimately beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As a web designer myself, my emphasis will be on adhering to web-standards and user-friendliness of a design.

Thank you for reading through what I’ve written so far. ;) Anyway do pay me a visit (here) every once in a while and you’ll never know what you get to read. I’ll even have some photos for you to admire (or condemn :( ) now and then.

I hope my style of writing did put a smile on your face and bring some cheer into your life, especially if it’s a humdrum life you’re having now.

Feel free to add me over at MSN or Yahoo! Messenger if you want, I’ll be more than delighted to accommodate you. Click here for my contact details.

That’s all for now, I hope you didn’t regret spending that 5 (or was it 10?) minutes reading. Ciao!!! Do remember to check out my tech-website at goldfries.com
