I’ll make it quick this time – It’s an OVERCLOCKING workshop organized by Gigabyte, the same event mentioned in my last article aboutoverclocking.
For this workshop, we have ‘HiCookie’ from Taiwan – Top Overclocker today, based on HWbot http://hwbot.org/community/user/hicookie
Worldwide Rank: #1 of 26779
Country Rank: #1 of 76 in Taiwan
Here are some photos that cover the gist of the workshop. Basically HiCookie guides the enthusiasts on their live-session of overclocking.
As per title – “H55”, each table has 2 candidates and they work together to overclock the Intel Core i5-760 using Gigabyte’s H55 motherboard, other components available to them are the Gigabyte GT 240, Corsair Dominator 1600mhz DDR3 and also Coolermaster’s GX750 power supply. Cooler ah? No la, stock cooler only. LOL.
From my observation, those sitting under the air-condition vent may have a slight advantage as it seems to be more cooling.
What’s that you say?
Those are huge canisters of Liquid Nitrogen (remember Terminator 2?) 🙂 The liquid that extreme overclockers use to cool their processor.
And here’s the beautiful scene of liquid nitrogen (LN2) being poured into a heatsink.

I think it’s a great event, considering it’s FREE (as far as I remember) and it also came with really delicious buffet lunch at Melia Hotel, just opposite of Berjaya Times Square. I’m sure the attendees have learn a thing or two from HiCookie, or even from new friends made during the workshop.
I left the event quite early as I wasn’t a participant, and the event is said to be ending in the evening, which is now………. which I think the organizers are probably packing up and having their dinner soon.
Thanks Gigabyte. 🙂
