The Galaxy Note 3 for the Malaysian market will be the 4G LTE variant, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800mhz 2.3ghz processor, comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, with expandable memory. It has a 5.7″ super AMOLED Full HD display, and comes with a 13MP camera with 4K 30fps and Full HD 60fps recording – a first in the industry. It has also a bigger mAh battery now, at 3200. The watch face is a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display with a 320 x 320 resolution, while the integrated battery is good for up to 25 hours of use. The IP55 case means it has certain resistance to water, of course you shouldn’t be swimming with it. The Galaxy Gear comes with 70 support apps at the time of launch.

The Galaxy Note 3 will be available in three colours (Jet Black, Blush Pink and Classic White), while there are six colour options for the Galaxy Gear (Jet Black, Mocha Gray, Wild Orange, Oatmeal Beige, Rose Gold, and Lime Green)

First Impressions

I think the Note 3 is one of the most interesting devices introduced this year.

What I am n most keen on is the 4K and 60fps Full HD.

I also fine the leather bezel being a refreshing touch to the mobile devices industry, definitely looks more classy than metal finishing.

This Galaxy Gear is basically a notification device with call and camera ability. There is an on screen phone pad for dialling purposes but no indication of any keyboard for messaging and notes. The device is said have some 25 hours of battery life, that an additional device for you to charge daily should you be using it.

The Bluetooth signal is up to 1.5m range limit, once the Gear goes beyond that the Note 3 will lock itself. This means that receiving notifications on the Gear is quite limited, you can put it on one side of the room and get notifications when standing beyond the range limit.
