FSP is an established brand when it comes to Power Supply Units and now they also carry a range of Power Banks, with us today is the 7800mAh unit.

The power bank looks sleek and comfortable to hold with it’s high quality case.
The power bank comes with 2 USB port with a total of 3.9A Max Output – a High speed 2.4A output for iPad/tablet, 1.5A output for iPhone/smartphone. Notice how they use Apple products as a point of reference, it’s understandable since Apple’s products are the best “constant” in the market for comparison.
Just as advertised, the power bank takes about 4 hours to charge. I didn’t go into minute by minute detail but it’s approximately of that range and takes a bit longer if you’re using anything less than then 2A recommended charging output.
The power bank comes with LED indicator for leftover charge. 4 LEDs lit indicate 80% to 100% capacity, 3 for 50% to 80%, 2 for 25% to 50% and one for 0% to 25%
The package does indicate “about 5 times iPhone charging” so if we go based on iPhone 5S’ battery which is 1560mAh, that seems about right. Sure, 1560 x 5 comes to 7800mAh but the word keyword is “ABOUT” – meaning you shouldn’t be expecting 5 times of Full charge for iPhones as energy
On my test, I could charge my 2600mAh HTC One M8 more than twice, with the 3rd charge going to about 20%. That comes to approximately 5720mAh, assuming each % is equivalent to 26mAh. The figure looks just about right considering that power banks typically have about 70% – 80% efficiency with some of the energy lost to heat.
If 80% of 7800mAh would be 6240mAh and 70% of 7800mAh is 5460mAh, then having 5720mAh charged is a respectable figure in my book.
