Remember the DS 200 that I reviewed last week? The DS 200 is actually the larger version of the DS Cube.
Wait, shouldn’t it be DS Cube being the smaller version of the DS 200? Not at all, the DS Cube was the first Dead Silence casing and it was released quite a while before the DS 200. If you remember my articles covering Computex 2014, I posted a photo of the DS Cube.
Let’s move on to the casing itself, the DS Cube comes with a cutout top that’s replaceable with the mesh version of it that’s part of the package. The mesh version will provide better airflow at the cost of more noise escaping the casing.
The space within the top compartment is limited but sufficient for quite some fan placement.
Here’s a view of the area with the cover removed, it could accommodate a maximum of 1x 140mm and 1x 120mm combo with the latter being placed towards the forward section.
Though the fan mount could fit a 140mm fan, it couldn’t fit a 140mm radiator as a radiator’s dimension is a lot larger.
