Fractal Design Meshify C Mini – Dark TG Review

I loved the Meshify C to bits so it’s no surprise that the Fractal Design Meshify C Mini – Dark TG gets the same love from me.

While the Meshify C comes in 3 variants, the Meshify C Mini comes in only Dark TG variant at the time of this article.

The only difference between the Meshify C and the Meshify C Mini is the height so assembling this unit was a breeze for me.

Here’s the size comparison for both of them, I took this photo the day the Mini arrived just to show some partners.

Truth be told I didn’t feel like taking any photos for the Meshify C Mini because the product is basically the same, just imagine everything involving height to be a little less that’s all.

Look at the front, it’s the same design with height reduced.

Look at the top, it’s the same.

Look at the rear, it’s like the Meshify C but with less PCI-E slots.

And once again the Meshify C Mini looks like the big brother.

And just when you think it’s over, the insides are the similar too but with reduced capacity.

Just as the bigger variant the Meshify C Mini comes with intake fan at the front.

As for the rear we have the exhaust, both intake and exhaust fan are Fractal Design’s Dynamic X2 GP-12 model.

Lastly we have the area under the motherboard tray – nice rubber grommets, opening for CPU bracket, 2.5″ and 3.5″ holders and velcro straps included for cable management.

User Experience

It’s basically a shrunken Meshify C, without being that much smaller either. The height reduction is but a few fingers’ width – that’s about 2x PCI-E bracket’s worth of height.

My issue with Meshify C is that when the front panel is removed, it’s a little tough to twist it to the side to clear the way for AIO installation due to the tight cable management, you had to loosen them a little to make way.

For the Meshify C Mini I felt that this is a little better and I didn’t have to be overly cautious as to not break any of the connectors.

The Verdict

My thought of the Meshify C Mini should be obvious by now, the only thing I don’t know yet is the price. The Meshify C retails at RM 439 so the Mini variant here should be a little less and I hope I’m not wrong for that guess.
