Cooler Master just announced their CM Storm Swift-RX mouse pad and it’s certainly a surprise to have it already in my lab today. 😀 Being a regular gamer I spared no time to put this mouse pad to the test.
😀 Being a regular gamer, this is also a good “excuse” to add more gaming time in my already sardine-packed schedule. Hu hu hu. Before that, let’s have a look at the mouse pad itself.
The Swift-RX replaces their Speed-RX range of mouse pad, and the Swift-RX comes in 3 sizes – Small 250x210mm, Medium 320x270mm and Large 450x360mm. The one in this review is the medium sized Swift-RX.
The surface of the Swift-RX is of cloth. There are many types of cloth surface, the one on the Swift-RX is of a fine type, fine enough to see that it has a glossy feel which is also my favorite type of mouse pad surface. The mouse pad is 3mm in thickness and the edges are stitched in place with fabric.
The surface at the bottom is rubber, no way is the mouse pad going to slide around.

User Experience
I like mouse pads to be small, the medium size Swift-RX gives plenty of room to move around, I reckon I used only 1/3 of the overall real estate.
I tested the mouse pad with my Logitech G300S gaming mouse that I absolutely adore, and the game of choice was League of Legends where mouse movement is critical.
The mouse slides around the surface of Swift-RX with ease, which is why I like the Logitech G300S because the mouse feet are well placed, couple that with the silky smooth surface of the Cooler Master Swift-RX and you get that awesome glide. For people who prefer to light bumps on mouse movement then this is not the mouse pad for you.
The Verdict
The Cooler Master CM Storm Swift-RX Mouse Pad will be available in the UK market from February 2015 with the MSRP of £6.99 for small, £9.99 for medium and £14.99 for the large unit.
Price and availability may vary based on region, it should be available in the Malaysian market soon with estimated retail price of RM 45 for small, RM 60 for medium and the large one at RM 90. I’ll update the page once the pricing and availability is available.
