I was looking for a new mouse to replace my somewhat misbehaving mouse for my work rig and I came across this affordable G300s from Logitech and thought I’d give it a try.
The mouse retails at RM 79 and for what I paid, the build quality is really good for this wired mouse and it comes with a host of buttons that can be programmed, of which I don’t think I’ll be programming any. 😛
At the bottom, 3 large mouse feet that’s well placed. One large one at the front end and 2 pieces at both corners at the rear. With this placement, the mouse glides across any mousepad without encountering any issue of having chassis friction.
On the sides, you’ll see that there’s some texture that adds to both comfort and grip. The buttons are comfortable to click but the middle mouse button (wheel) is a little tough to click.
The only down side of this mouse is that it’s rather small so anyone with larger palms, this wouldn’t be your mouse of choice.
The beauty of this mouse is in the provided software, not just about the customization function but also about the profiles.
You have up to 3 profiles, and for each profile you can assign a color to it. 8 colors for you to choose from, no intensity change for the lights but you may turn it off. Within each profile you can customize the buttons to your liking.
