Memopad 10 inch version?
Yup, and it’s really sweet too.
The unit with me is with a pure white bezel. 😛 Using white background for a photo shoot was a bad idea. I wasn’t thinking about it much that time.
What I like about this tablet is the symmetry. Over the weeks of using it, I had problem locating where’s the lock button because it feels the same no matter how I hold it and unlike many other devices, it has no HOME button or any form of indicator.
*yes yes, I know there’s the ASUS logo but you can’t really see those things when you’re in the dark.
As you can see in the images below, the ports are well placed and the speakers are placed at the back. Really neat.
The tablet is powered by Nvidia®’s Tegra® 3 Quad-Core CPU with 1 GB RAM, which I think hampers the performance a bit. Storage size of 16GB is good to have. The product comes with Android Jelly Bean 4.1.
The placement of speakers on tablet devices are important, and I think Asus did a good job on this one.

Overall the system worked well, I face no stability issue in general usage and gaming. The device is solid to hold, though the glossy surface mean you may end up losing grip.

The Verdict
Asus Memo Pad Smart ME301T could be acquired for as low as RM 800, pretty sweet deal for a stylish looking tablet with IPS screen and pretty good audio system.
