AMD A10 6800K Quad Core Processor (APU) Review

The Verdict

I don’t know how to put it. Personally, I feel that the APUs from AMD are solid products. However I also feel difficult to recommend it, not that the product is bad but it’s just really limited.

For example – if you have a HD 6670 1GB DDR5 and looking for something that’s powerful enough to do everything under the sun at a limited budget then the APU is the way to go. The IGP itself when in Dual Graphics mode with the HD 6670 brings better gaming experience.

Put it this way, this RM 560 processor comes with graphic performance of an RM 240 card (the HD 6670 DDR3 variant).

Let’s not forget there’s the HSA technology, of which I’ve no way to benchmark. I think it’s a step ahead, it’s just a matter of WHEN will we actually see the benefit of HSA.

All in all, it’s a good product if you want processing power and intend to play some computer games with decent details. An APU like this 6800K can do that for you.

  1. I’ve read somewhere HD 7750 can be used for dual graphic with A10-5800K and 6800K.

    Can you confirm it?
