What an EXCITING day it was – I’m sure you guys read the Core i3-530 review. ๐ Today, Intel Malaysia launches the i3-530 and a host of other new goods for the consumers.
I was there early at Zinc Art Space in Bangsar. Right outside the venue – it was clear who are the stars of the launch.
People are all around already, I proceeded with my registration as usual – if not later they lasso me into their chamber of who-knows-what LOL. Ok, pardon the less formal approach.
Not long after that, we were finally allowed to enter the gallery. Since the event was slated to be at 4.30pm and KL traffic jam isn’t something surprising, it’s not surprising too that there’s plenty of seats for me to choose…… but before that……..
Here’s my poster! Yup, it was for the Intel What’s Your Core? contest. ๐ My poster was shortlisted and printed out for display! You can view the clearer version here.
This photo was taken a little later, notice the crowd has multiplied. Notice also some machines along the side to demo the power of Intel’s technology.
And check this out! Don’t you wish you own one of them? ๐
Anyway, like I said earlier I had plenty of seats to choose so I got myself front-row seat! Unfortunately I was also picked by Ryaz Patel to answer a question that I don’t know the answer. LOL. Ryaz, please la buddy, I not clever in reading those “art”! ๐
And my failed answer was in front of this crowd……ZOMGBBQSAUCE!!!! Oh well, nevermind la. ๐ Next time Intel launch I must remember to print out the “art” of answers for reference. ๐
Intel Country Manager, Ryaz Patel.
Director of Penang Design Center (Intel, of course!) – SK Fong.
And what is an Intel launch without Channel Platform Manager of Intel Malaysia รขโฌโ Mr Tan Guan Boon.
Both of them presenting the many nitty gritty details of what transpired, like what goes on in the background during the design, for example planning ahead to cater for future computing needs.
And what would Guan Boon be without the product demo! Right?
Guan Boon demonstrates the power of Core i3 / i5 32nm Clarkdale models vs the existing benchmarks (no need to guess who’s the winner), the Turbo-Boost technology, the Hyper-Threading technology, the WiFi technology, and even how the GPU was integrated into the CPU and how it helps in video playback and gaming.
And what would an event be without photo op? Here are the partners – people who push Intel products to you.
Then there’s the 2 big guys with the Intel products, followed by a Q&A session.
Finally – the unveiling of the winners of the contest.
Phang Jin Jo for the Public Category.
Nicky Woo of Lowyat.net for the Media Category
And probably the most interesting part of the launch – the 31st birthday of Simon Chan, Sales Manager of Intel Malaysia. Happy Birthday to you Simon!
END of event, with some “makan” of tantalizing finger-food. ๐
Ok, we’ve comes the end of the report. Price ah? You can check it out at the shop.
