Notebook and the beach? Does it even make sense? I don’t know but Sony sure made the launch really different by having organized the event for an afternoon of fun!
Sony’s event for the day was the Wave Party, held at Sunway Lagoon’s Surf Beach, 29th November 2008. The Wave Party started in the afternoon, at around 1:30PM while the VAIO CS Official Launch session was slated to be in the evening at around 7:00PM, which was towards the end of the Wave Party.
It was still pretty bright when I reach Sunway area but walking from the parking lot, along the packed walkway of the shopping complex and down to the surf beach took quite a while and it was pretty dark by then.
The place was packed with hot bodies. 🙂 Slim and slender FEMALE bodies, bikini clad and skin adorned with artsy patterns.
Well, guys being guys – most of them were busy with their camera as they ogle at the lovely models (the ladies la, the VAIO notebooks can be admired later, perhaps in Sony Style outlets).
The launch start shortly after, the sky was dark by then and Sony was very fortunate that there the weather was fine.
Just as all events, a few words from the host and some speech from the VIPs.
Then the VIPs from SONY and Intel initiated the launch, look at them with those big brushes!
After that, a group photo session and the moment guys are waiting for – GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS on stage! I’m under the impression that most of them cared about the girls more than the products they hold.
Then of course, another brief session from a Sony representative.
Poor guy, no one knew he was about to share some of the product highlights there. 🙁 Everyone else were just occupied with the models.
After that, some dancers came out to perform what looked like some tribal dance from New Zealand or something. Pardon me for the lack of cultural knowledge.
Then there’s fireworks……
and some surfboard dudes…….
and of course – PRIZE GIVING for those who participated in the day’s events for their achievements.
The launch ended with the prize giving, and all the hungry attendees made their march towards the pergolas where food were served. Of course, on the way there we took a look at the models and the models from Sony. 🙂
Naturally the VAIO CS models are on display…..
and there are also Sony’s other range of Notebooks as well.
And the lovely lady here certainly made the VAIO CS even more attractive!
*Admit it guys, you looked at the lady more than the notebook she’s carrying!*
It was a delicious “beach-side” buffet dinner, our host had prepared quite an elaborate meal for us but I spent most effort whopping up satays and chicken wings. 😀
It’s been a long time since I had dinner at the beach. I miss the beaches in my home town of Kota Bharu. *sob* Oh, sorry for the nostalgia.
Anyway, for more details about the Sony VAIO CS, you knowwhere to go. 🙂
Not a Vaio fan. For me Vaio are just overpriced notebooks because you have to pay the “sony-tax”. No extra features compared to other regular notebooks. Their designs are nice though.
Honestly if I have a pocket big enough for VAIO, I would certainly buy it. Simply because I am a fan of style and VAIO is definitely packed with it!
But I guess I’ll just have to settle for a Compaq notebook for now. 🙁
If I have the money to afford a Vaio, I’d rather get a MacBook. 😀
At least I get something that other regular notebooks can’t offer. And nice design too.
crazy launch! duno how much la they spend on a launch only.. the whole activities for the whole day summore.. est around 1mil i think? goodness..
Sony is always generous leh. 🙂
As for the VAIO notebook, they’re good – just perhaps on the pricey side.
I admit it, I look at the girls more than the notebooksQ
always been the way with vaio, shit hot but you pay for it! are they dell xps beaters though? and yes the girls are as hot as the vaios!
The note book looks quality…. Dell suck for pcs!!
Well, Im satisfied with the VAIO CS (VGNCS16G/Q) jet black color. I bought it last November 2008. Yes, the price is a little expensive but the quality/performance not to mention the style/design is all good. So, I can say its worth it!..
Wah in my busy Dec I missed so many comments. Basically…
@[email protected] – 😀
@mirrortv – they’re more fashionable but IMO Dell XPS is nice.
@RA3 – I disagree on that, I personally think Dell gives value for money offer for PC. you can compare their specs and their bundled OS. All is well, with support too.
@migs267 – yes, it’s stylish and certainly an attention grabber. Sony’s good for that. 😀 everything’s stylish.
I love my vaio CS325j
