A renown name when it comes to Flash storage, Transcend is one of the many brands that offers SSD (Solid-State Drive) solutions.
What I like about the SSD370S from Transcend is that it’s a complete package that comes with screws and 3.5″ bracket. This is unlike some brands that offer only the drive and nothing else.
The drive itself is cased in aluminum, there is a variant of this model that’s in plastic.
Here’s the view from the bottom.
The Transcend SSD370S 512GB SSD’s storage is of Synchronous MLC NAND Flash memory

Benchmarks
ATTO
Starting off we have ATTO, the box rated the drive to have 560Mb/s Read and 460Mb/s Write and the drive delivers.
CrystalDiskMark
The boax claims 520Mb/s Read and 460Mb/s Write, the figures seems to be very close – faster on the read, a little behind on the write.
Anvil Pro
Laslty we have Anvil that shows similar read / write as the other 2 benchmarks.
All figures are either exact or very close to the figures found on the table.
The Verdict
Transcend SSD370S 512GB SSD retails at RM 699, this model is the one with aluminum case. There’s a model that’s without the ‘S’ on the product name that retails less and uses plastic instead of aluminum. Transcends SSD comes with 3-years warranty.
Overall I’m pleased with the product, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it so here’s the badge!
