Small form factor setups more often require small form factor PSUs, it’s even better when the small PSUs are modular in nature such as the SX600-G from SilverStone.
Modular you say? Yes it is. The SX600-G is full modular, thus providing maximum flexibility when it comes to cable management.
Here’s the view from the bottom, the fan doesn’t spin until it reaches are certain load level, this allows the PSU to run silent as often as possible.
No doubt the unit is small but the SX600=G is able to deliver 600W over it’s single 12V rail, not forgetting also that it’s comes with 80Plus Gold certification. Check out the power delivery table below, amazing stuff for such a small unit.
Lastly we have the package, the cable is very few and they’re quite short but it provides ample connectivity to components, you won’t be having many components in a small form factor setup.

User Experience
The PSU works great, I tested it on high load with wall draw going over 630W which is more than 90% of it’s claimed delivery capacity and I ran it for more than 8 hours without running into any issues.
The cables are short so it might not work well with casings like say the Fractal Design Nano S. I used it on the RVZ02 from SilverStone and it works just fine.
The Verdict
The SilverStone SFX Series SX600-G 600W Power Supply retails at RM 535, an excellent power supply unit for small form factor setup, the modular capability of the unit allows maximum flexibility in getting things in place.
