White mouse? Black mouse? A gaming mouse is a good mouse! The Kone Pure at goldfries.com’s lab is the Phantom White variant, which I feel is better looking than the black colored variant. 😀
The mouse is simple as what you see, what I love about this mouse is the soft-touch interface and the placement of buttons on the left that’s perfect to my thumbs’ reach. The thing about the soft-touch surface of the Kone Pure is that it doesn’t seem to be as soft as the soft-touch surface on other products that I’ve tested but it certainly was comfortable.
The Kone Pure is a light-weight gaming mouse at only 90g and it does not come with weight management features. The mouse is well designed and handles really well as I used it on Roccat’s Taito Mini mouse pad.
There are only 2 mouse feet on the Kone Pure but they supported the mouse really well.
Below are the details of Roccat Kone Pure, taken from the official product page.
Wooooo going by the details, looks like the mouse is faster than I am. 🙂
The beauty of the Kone Pure is just as with other Roccat products – the software. The Roccat software is feature rich as always and they’re definitely the leader of the pack when it comes quality software and customization.
One of the customization available for the Kone Pure is the LED light. You can choose the light to be of Constant ON, OFF or Breathing, and you can set the colors to the available presets or customize your colors.
The Verdict
The ROCCAT Kone Pure (Phantom White) Gaming Mouse retails at RM 255 and comes with 2 years warranty. It’s a superb mouse not just in build, usage and above all – the software support.
The only reason I could think of to object buying this mouse is the size. The light weight and small sized nature of this mouse might not suit the preference of those who of a large palm, left-handed mouse users and those who prefer a mouse that pushes more weight around.
