With games taking up huge amount of storage these days, I’m happy to have Phidisk PhantomKnight 960GB SSD arriving at the lab to serve this purpose. Now you might not heard of this brand before and that’s understandable as they’re new in the scene, a local brand based in Penang and they’re supported by Phison which is a well-known name when it comes to SSD controllers.
Phidisk claims they adapt 100% of Phison’s core technology in NAND-flash controller and their product integration abilities in all their products. 🙂
The Phidisk PhantomKnight 2.5″ SSD here is of 960GB storage and retails at RM 599, it uses TLC NAND with Phison controller and has 3 years warranty. Storage sizes available in 480GB, 240GB and 120GB as well, and in mSATA and M.2 variants too.
The Phidisk PhantomKnight 960GB comes with read speeds up to 540MB/s and write speeds up to 450MB/s (refer to image above), so how did it fare? Check out the results below.
Read speed looks good, up there with the rated speed but for the write speed, that one really awed me. Phidisk is being very humble here, the write speed is well over 10% of the rated speed.
The Phidisk PhantomKnight 960GB retails at RM 599 and that’s excellent value for money when it comes to price per GB and it has 3-years warranty. Overall good stuff, I’ll be having this drive for my main benchmark rig.
Good job Phidisk, support local! Where to buy? Check out the stores https://www.phidisk.com/where-to-buy
