With the introduction of USB 3.1 Kingston spared no time to introduce their line-up for USB Flash Drives that utilizes this technology. Kingston DataTraveler microDuo 3C USB 3.1 is a tiny flash drives that’s packed with up to 64GB space and supports both USB 3.1 Type-A (regular USB slot) and Type-C.
While the packaging highlights Type-C, the drive’s main connector seems to be of Type-A while the Type-C is protected in plastic. What I didn’t like about this design is once the protection cover is off the USB drive might have difficulty getting into the USB port.
Here is the read / write speed of the Kingston DataTraveler microDuo 3C USB 3.1 Type-C Flash Drive
The result is satisfactory as it’s within the claimed read / write speed seen on the datasheet
