The ear cups are movable too, as in the cushioned area (part that touches your head) has independent movement axis from the main headset frame so it fits the head nicely for better comfort and noise cancellation. The headset itself is with detachable cable.

My favorite part of the headset is the exclusive ROG Spitfire USB audio processor that’s driver-free. Yes, this hardware DSP (digital signal processor) does not require any driver and has settings for 7.1 virtual surround, headphone amplifier, and FPS EQ one-click gaming sound enhancement modes.

User Experience

I love it! Firstly, I like how the cup fits nicely and how it cancels noise very well.

The hassle-free installation of the USB DSP controller further improves the overall experience.

As for the audio quality, the output is rich though the bass generated is not as deep as my Beats Studio. That’s not a bad thing though as it is subjected to preference.

I tested the audio on Guild Wars 2 and seems like the audio positioning is good as they claimed.

The Verdict

A solid gaming headset that’s retailing at around RM 450. šŸ™‚ Certainly worth spending on if you’re looking for one.
