Cable Management is something most computer users are totally unaware of, after all most people don’t even know what the internals of a computer look like.

So what is cable management and how does it affect you?

What is Cable Management and Why do you do it?

Cable management is as simple as the term itself – manage the cables, in reference to the management of cables that are within your computer casing.

Why do so?
1) Improve operating temperatures.
2) Improve the looks.
3) Reduce dust accumulation.

Properly managed cables (in the casing) not only improve the airflow within the system but it also makes your casing look really neat and tidy. When cables are not managed, not only do they look ugly and hinder air flow, they also provide additional surface for dust collection.

For example, here are my computers used in AMD’s events.

Here’s the Cooler Master Cosmos SE setup used in AMD’s Radeon R9 launch last year,

And here’s the Corsair Graphite 230T at AMD’s Gaming League at Invasion Cyber Zone @ Bukit Maluri.

Without some cable management, those computers won’t be in presentable condition.

The rest of my cable management examples are viewable at casemod.my, with more photos coming along this year with works done by others as well. 🙂
