Acer launched the Aspire Timeline series notebooks not long ago, a range that is slim, light and has long-battery life.
The models available in the Malaysian market are the 3810T (RRP RM 3,299), 4810T (RRP RM 2,699) and 5810T (I don’t have RRP for this).
More details of the product at ACER Timeline.
The Event
Like the rest of the “goldfries @” articles – photos of the event! 🙂 This event was held at Mandarin Oriental hotel end of May.
I must say the event was probably the best I’ve ever come by (pardon me for not attending that many events, I only get very limited invitations).
It’s supposed to take place in a particular ballroom but before we were ushered into the ballroom itself, Acer had an array of their (selected) products on display but the Aspire Timeline notebooks were not around.
Desktops, LCDs, Projectors, even the AspireRevo nettop was there!
Not long after, the entourage was led into a corridor where along the walls show a TIMELINE of some sort. Interesting…….
Alas, the Acer Aspire Timeline series on display.
I must say that it was a stuffy enclosure, it seems like one needs to perspire to admire the Aspire.
Fortunately the wait wasn’t too long but too bad la, I was already like partially soaked.
Anyway come the entourage to the ballroom itself, with a very well setup stage and all other thing else around. 🙂 I must say it really set the GRAND feel towards the product itself.
Just like any other event, sure got people come out to talk la. Where got event no people come out to talk la? Right or not?
So we have the rep from Intel……
…. and also the rep from Acer.
After that, the models with the models.
And lastly, the group photos.
Left to Right : Low Gah Luen (Head of Mobile & Peripherals, Acer Sales & Services Sdn Bhd), Ryaz Patel (Country Manager, Intel Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Ricky Tan ( General Manager, Acer Sales & Services Sdn Bhd), David Lee (Asst Vice-President, Information Technology Business Group, Acer Incorporation) and Johnson Seet (Product Manager for MPC, Acer Malaysia)
🙂 Nice event huh? I bet you guys were more attracted to the hawt girls that anything else.
Sorry, no product shoot yet but I have a unit of 3810T with me already. 😀 A review of the notebook would be out soon enough.
My Thoughts
It was an event well done. I must say that besides the Timeline notebooks, the AspireRevo looks tempting (I saw it at a store recently for RM 1,299 I think) and the LCD screens look great.
I can’t comment much on the latest range of Acer products now but they sure look good, even the people in forums have been saying good words about the Timeline series. 🙂 As for me, I was an Acer notebook user before and looks like I’m back to being an Acer notebook user again.
Hi there,
do you know what the 5810T is priced at in Malaysia at the moment? I am considering buying it while overseas and it is NZ$2299 which is approx RM5,672.20.
eh I just checked for you and seems that 5810T not here yet, so can’t get pricing.
