Out of the box the keyboard may seem ordinary, it’s black and has nothing to show. The layout is common and there’s really nothing new to it.

User Experience

The Corsair Vengeance K70 RGB comes with Cherry MX Red switches that’s great for gaming keyboards. This means it doesn’t have the slight bump of the brown switch, nor the click of the blue switch. It’s pretty much like the black switch with reduced feedback.

Here’s a video I made, just a quick overview of the keyboard. You’ll get to see some of the behavior patterns available for the RGB LED.

Fancy lights aside, the software is detailed and could take a while to get used to. It’s a good software and it brings out the best of the K70 RGB.

The Verdict

The Corsair Vengeance K70 RGB (LED) Mechanical Keyboard retails at RM 661, it’s not cheap and it doesn’t have dedicated macro keys which I think is the only flaw on a keyboard as such.

What you get by paying a premium is a beautiful keyboard, high quality switches, 2-years guarantee from Corsair and of course – 16.8 million colors for each key, no more complaints about lacking of colors.
