The Hydro H55 is a very cost-effective means for one to enter the world of water cooling.
The box comes with all that is required to complete the setup, all you need is a screw driver to secure the screws.
Here’s the cooler.
Accessories for the H55, installation was a little confusing due to the misleading drawing on the manual. I had to search Youtube / Google to get it done right.
The H55 comes bundled with a Corsair 120mm fan too.
Here’s a closer view of the unit.
Corsair!
The bottom portion comes pre-coated with thermal paste.
Here’s what the cooler looks like on a system.
User Experience & Benchmarks
I used the AMD A10 7850K for this benchmark. Room temperature is around 25°C.
CPU load was done by converting 10bit MKV video to 8bit using x264, set to -veryslow mode.
Idle (°C) | Load (°C) | |
Corsair H55 | 32 | 44 |
AMD Stock Cooler | 34 | 56 |
Not only was it cooling, it was still running silent as well. 😀 The AMD stock cooler would’ve been shrieking away once the load kicks in.
The Verdict
The Corsair Hydro H55 AIO cooling system is priced at around RM 240, and it’s certainly a good upgrade for anyone who wants to go for a silent, reasonably cool and neat setup.
