IP cameras are quite in demand these days with the rising crime rate, it’s great to have one especially when you’re leaving home for the holidays such as this Hari Raya festive season. You will be able to monitor your home or office as long as your Internet Connection is available.
The Aztech WIPC410 is as simple as it is, the usual tennis ball shaped camera unit with a decent base. The Aztech WIPC410 is of a decent build quality, I like that it’s light weight and quite small in overall dimension.
The package comes with LAN cable and the necessary pieces for mounting purpose.
Getting the camera up and running took me just about 10 minutes.
All that’s required is for the camera to be powered and connected to the router via LAN.
After that, download the software and scan the QR Code at the bottom of the device.
The app allows you to control multiple units of Aztech’s IP Camera.
Here’s what the interface looks like, the screen captures in various resolution. I am able to view everything except in HD mode as the app crashes once I set the camera to such resolution.
Here’s the setting screen.
Control wise the camera works fine, though I feel that it’s a little slow in response time. The audio quality was good for both recording and playback but from what I tested it looks like the communication is One-Way as I only have 3 options on the app – MUTE, LISTEN, SPEAK. Yes, the product page says “2-way” which is correct but it’s not 2-ways on concurrent basis.
The camera comes with Infra-red so you’re able to view in the dark, it also comes with motion detection feature.
More details available at the official product page.
Aztech WIPC410 ENHANCED HD Wireless-N IP Camera retails for RM 300 which I think is quite an attractive price point. The product is not perfect, as not only I do not get 2-way audio but HD resolution setting crashes the app. 🙁 What I like about it is that it works right out of the box and took me just around 10 minutes to get everything up and running.
