The rear camera is quite a disappointment as well, ASUS may boast of SONY sensor on their cameras but that’s not enough. Sensor only captures light but what’s key to a camera’s success is the processing.
I’ve taken food photos at more lighting challenging environment with the ASUS ZenFone 3 and even the lowly ASUS ZenFone 3 Max and they turned out well, the one from ZenFone 3 Max even passed stock photo requirements.
I can’t say the same for my images with the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro because if the base image isn’t satisfactory, then the chance of fixing it in post is very slim.
Remember I mentioned about the sensor being unable to balance between the bright and dark areas? This one’s an excellent example – Imagine how disappointing it is to see your brand new ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro being put to shame by the aged Honor 7.
Here’s another one, notice how the floor outside the restaurant is plain white for the ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro? Yes, that’s how disappointing it is.
The ranting doesn’t end but it’s likely that the next page would be the last of the rant.
