The interior of the PM01-RGB is certainly spacious, plenty of room for exercising creativity.
Towards the front you’ll see 3x 120mm fans, 2 in this picture as one is covered by the PSU shroud that goes from front to back.
At the rear is another 120mm fan exhaust, with top mounting points available for cooling components up to 360mm in size.
Now from the back, it looks neat and I think SilverStone planned the layout quite while.
Right under the cut-out of the motherboard tray are 2x 2.5″ drive brackets.
Towards there front are drive cages for 3.5″ units.
Then of course the connectors, the one one the left is for RGB lighting cables while the one on the right is a fan hub.
Last but not least, the rear that’s for the PSU placement.
The Verdict
The SilverStone PM01-RGB is one great casing that retails at RM 669 which is a rather hefty price tag with the only difference being from the PM01 is that is has RGB lights
No doubt that the FG121 fan grilles as seen in my video review below costs RM 41 each, factor that into the connector up, not forgetting also the other light strip and we pretty much get why the price is such.
Another thing that I wish to address is the build quality. While the original PM01 uses glossy finish, the PM01-RGB’s surface is matte and the overall build feels far more solid.
Overall it’s still a great product, one of my favorite SilverStone casing to date, one that I think will do better at a lower price point.
