The board operates fine without the Wi-Fi module installed but there’s no reason to not install it, after all you already paid for the product. 🙂 Installation of the Wi-Fi module requires you to refer to the manual though it’s not that difficult to figure out if you’re familiar with the available parts.
Getting the tiny screws in place might be a little challenging, if not impossible should you not have a small screw driver. Small, as in one with a small head.
As for the UEFI, the ASRock H97M-ITX/ac has this area covered very well.
I had no problem overclocking my Intel Pentium G3258.
Make no mistake, this H97 board is pretty capable.
The Verdict
The ASRock H97M-ITX/ac retails at RM 369 and it comes with 2-years warranty. It’s a lovely small package with Wi-Fi module that fits every other casing because of its size (Mini-ITX board does look awkward on large casings) and its feature rich enough to meet the needs of both gamers and non-gamers. It works for overclocking too but those wanting more overclocking capacity should look elsewhere.
