Don’t Drink and Drive!

So you heard this phrase again and again. You’ve heard it on the radio and on TV for years.

I took a while to ponder at that phrase and I found that it actually means Don’t DRINK and DRIVE, meaning don’t drink while you’re driving. So this means that you’re encouraged to drink before or after the drive, right? :roll: That’s not nice isn’t it? The people who drunk drive are people who drank BEFORE the drive.

So it would’ve better if it was phrased “Don’t Drink Before Drive”.

While most people know DRINK besides the actual swallowing of liquid, also meant getting drunk but unfortunately not everyone knows that.

Perhaps it would’ve been even better if it was phrased “Don’t Drink Liquor before Driving”. it’s careful sentence with the word LIQUOR to make it damn clear what you’re not supposed to drink. :) Not clear enough? How about “Don’t Drink Alcohol before Driving”.

Come to think of it, “Don’t Drive If You’re Drunk” has got to be the best! It doesn’t matter what you are drunk with.

Lesson? It’s nice to have catchy phrase but sometimes it’s best just to give the meaning straight away.

    Well, my motto is:

    “Don’t drink too much until you are too drunk to drive properly and safely.”
    When I drink and then later drive, I always reach my destination safely.
    But that was ages ago.

    The last time I had a serious drink till drunk then drive back a whole bunch of people experience was way back in Dec 2003.

    We just finished our final exams in Taylors College, so that night we went to have fun in Q-Bar, Sunway Pyramid. In the end, I think I gotten a bit high and drunk, cos the next morning I can’t remember much of what happened last night. I woke up in friends’ place, its just across Taylors College Subang Jaya.

    They all told me that I drove them back, and I refused to let others drive. I was somewhat shocked and amazed by myself back then.

    When it boils down to drinking alcohol and getting drunk, it is about how we program our subconscious mind. How we want to behave after we get drunk, we need program our subconscious mind accordingly.

    At least that is how things work out for me, but I haven’t drink and got drunk for years already. A bit too old for that I guess.

    LOL..remind me of when my group of friend when they are in Malaysia T_T
    1st stop is Bar and end up everyone drinking except few which have to babysit them later .. haha.. but yea, if you want to drink and drive, make sure that there are few which take something else, or drink a cup or 2 which should be okay.

    Oh yeah speaking of friends and being unconcious, it’s damn dangerous la! Depending on how sneaky, playful and “adventurous” are your friends.

    I once woke up with marker writing over my body. :D Well that guy did it on most people.

    I’ve heard of cases like putting toothpaste in pants and stuff like that.

    Hey never know, nowadays with the widespread availability of camera – it’s gonna be worse! :P Oh yeah, that’s Brian on YouTube.

    Eh, this one i heard was from some friends back in hometown telling about their scouts or donno whatever camping trip.

    So if you encounter / heard others using that trick, then it’s gotta be a popular trick.

    Anyway the one i heard, it’s not toothbrush up the but la. It’s just toothpaste in the pants.

    Quite creepy when you have playful friends. They could open your pants and snap a pic or few, and later do wonders with the power of Internet :) Instant Fame!
