Just last week, I was thinking - here am I reaching 3 decades of existence, living in this beautiful country and not ONCE (shamelessly admitting) have I bought or made a flag and wave it proudly during Hari Merdeka (Independance Day). So I decided to make a difference this year and get it done for once.

Late afternoon just on the eve of this glorious day, I just realize that I had not bought the flag! Oh great, I was heading some place for some really important task, there wasn’t luxury for me to stop by and flag hunt. So what’s the best alternative? I pondered for a while over this matter and “BLING!!!” - instead of hooking the flag on my car, the gate, or outside my office, just like anyone else, I decided to make a digital flag and wave it proudly on both my websites!

So there you have it, a digital version of the country flag on the upper right side of this website and also goldfries.com which I intend to have it on my site for the next 30 days or so.

To make it all the more memorable, I’ve decided to launch goldfries : in person (yes, this site) on Hari Merdeka itself!

I do hope all of you enjoy this new site as it is about me and my life in this beautiful country. Malaysia, I do hope my websites make you proud as just as I am proud to be Your countrymen!
