Using the Samsung SGH-L760
Here’s the final installment of the series.
Let’s have a quick look at the phone.
LCD Screen
I like the LCD screen. It’s bright and crisp. Colors are nice. That’s all I can say about it.

Applications
I like the set of applications for this phone. Web Browser, RSS Reader, Alarm, Calendar, FM Radio - it’s pretty much all I need from a phone. The interface was easy to use.

The games were limited. I’m stuck with 3 demo games. It would’ve been good if Samsung could provide a little bit of entertainment for us. Like Radio? It’s there. Like video calls? It’s there too!
Ergonomics
The phone is sleek and slim. The best thing about this phone is that it doesn’t use a joystick! I phone that use joystick.

The bad part about this phone would be the keypad. The curves on the keypad is fine but for numbers 1, 2 and 3 - tough luck using it if you have huge thumbs or long finger nails. The sliding block of the phone would partially obstruct the access of those buttons.

Blogging
Yes, the Samsung SGH-L760 is touted to be the blogging phone. As stated on the product page - Imagine live blogging on the go“.
Let me tell you this, as a respectable blogger to all other readers and bloggers out there who think this phone will be great for blogging - DON’T BUY IT FOR BLOGGING PURPOSE! It sucks badly.
Live Blogging? It’s a joke, really! Look, the interface in the SGH-L760 would interact with Shozu portal that becomes the middle person to interact with sites like flickr, blogger, wordpress and so on so forth.
From my tests, I’ve been able to upload to Flickr and Blogger / Blogspot but wordpress.com failed to accept my upload even though the phone said the upload was successful.
Mind you, you can’t login to your blog and write an article like this. You could only post a photo and add 50 character’s worth of text. That’s NOT what you call blogging. That’s photo-sharing, to a certain extent photo-blogging but even so - are you going to upload 1 picture per post? Ridiculous.

Samsung - this phone is nice but to call it BLOGGING phone or BLOGGER phone is just plain misleading. 50 characters of text, great! It’s just enough to say something like “Now here am I at New York’s subway station.”
Battery Life
Battery life is decent as long as you don’t use stuff like 3G or keep playing music.
What I didn’t like was the battery indicator that’s horrible when it comes to accurately telling you how much juice you have left. The indicator has only 3 bar, so it could be at 3 bar for a few days then when it’s at 2 bar, it won’t be long before it reaches 1 bar. At 1 bar, it takes an even shorter time for the phone to reach low-battery status. Once it’s at low-battery status - it’s almost completely useless.
It’s really annoying, so when there’s only 2 bars left - do take note that it won’t be long before the phone is dead.
Conclusion
The phone rich in feature, there are flaws here and there but generally it’s a phone worth looking into. Just don’t EVER buy that stupid claim that it is a blogger phone, it’s a joke! You can’t even post a simple picture-less post on Blogspot.
For me, my favourite feature of this phone is its ability to function as a 3G modem - a great feature for a blogger like myself! With this phone, I could not only blog when I’m away on vacation, I could also keep in touch with my blog, my readers, my clients and forums that I am in charge of. The alarm and calendar applications come in handy to me too.

For me, luckily I got it at half price.
So ok la. It’s primarily for making calls, SMS and being a 3G modem. good enough for me.
