Happy 50th Independance Day, Malaysia!!!

Friday, August 31st, 2007

Just last week, I was thinking - here am I reaching 3 decades of existence, living in this beautiful country and not ONCE (shamelessly admitting) have I bought or made a flag and wave it proudly during Hari Merdeka (Independance Day). So I decided to make a difference this year and get it done for once.

The Independance Cup 2007

Sunday, August 26th, 2007

I was approached by a friend of mine just the other day, he needed some photographers for the event so I took the opportunity.

Instead of yabbering about what went on, boring stuff like hunks and babes in the tournament area and so on so forth - I’ll let my amateur photos do the talking. View the pictures in my gallery.

My gear? Canon EOS 350D + Tamron 70-300mm lens. A lot of burst shots, so I’ve narrowed down my 2GB+ worth of shots to only these few. Some shots are nice but repetitive, others on the other hand were lacking in either composition, failed in contrast / lighting, or just plain sucky. It’s not easy snapping with a mask on you know.

Sure I have plenty of other shots of participants lounging around and spectators standing around the arena but you’ll be bored to death with those. :) Anyway if anyone of you (in Malaysia) is interested in having some paintball game, do contact my team : Team Heatwave

The most memorable ad on ASTRO so far! Yeah babeh! Malaysia Boleh!

Ok, basically it’s an ad for ASTRO’s latest service called ON DEMAND. The video clip shows a typical scene at our local food court where peddlers of pirated VCD / DVD sellers as such would approach the patrons, offering their latest WARES. :) ASTRO’s message is that with their ON DEMAND services, who needs pirates anymore!

For my non-Malaysian readers, I do hope you enjoyed this clip as well. Yes, there are subtitles. Just enjoy the funny facial expression and all that.

Here’s the link in case you can’t view the video.
