Hey goldfries, I think you’re not allowed to write/delete DATA on the Seagate FreeAgent Go Ext. HDD because it’s formatted as NTFS by default. And by default, Mac OS is not allowed to write/delete DATA on NTFS-formatted volume. You’d have to install 3rd-party software to write/delete DATA on NTFS-formatted volume in Mac like “Paragon NTFS”. Another method is by formatting the Ext. HDD into HFS (Default Mac OS filesystem).

@fatty – which one is that? portable type? still under warranty hor?

@kk – their emphasis is on neat / easy to keep i think.

@danny – yeah can sync folder and schedule backup.

When you mentioned sync, can it sync to folder(s) in a drive? Also, does it have a schedule backup option?

I want something which can do the above. Otherwise, it’s an NAS. LOL!

My girlfriend bought one for herself… the only thing I’m not satisfy is that the USB cable seem extreme short… hmm… I guess is meant for laptop users…

WTH… Seagate…. My 6 months 1 tera 7200.11 died. I’m just another loyal user that lost my trust in seagate cuz i’m very convinced that 100% of 7200.11 die prematurely.
