Benchmarks

Let’s start with numbers, numbers that we all love to view but no one actually knows how to quantify them. 😛

User Experience

The Zenfone 5 feels good to the touch with admirable build quality, top it off with the decently speedy processor and the 5″ IPS display panel for one that demands better color accuracy.

Voice calls are heard crisp and clear and the rear speakers (not my favorite position) were decently loud as long as it’s not blocked.

As for the camera, it works fine. It’s not the greatest out there but it’s sufficient as a general purpose camera.

Battery life seems pretty good, 10 games of Bejeweled Blitz drains about 7%. The phone can last you a day quite easily with the 2110 mAh battery.

The Verdict

The ASUS Zenfone 5 retail at RM 519 and it’s available from ASUS’ authorized sellers, and also their online store (opens noon of 3rd December) at http://store.asus.com/my/ (link leads to Zenfone 5 product page on the store).

What you get is a phone of reasonable large display and good features, a smartphone that’s good for everyone.
