		<description>all routers require save and restart, or apply changes or some other sort of procedure. saving is really just keeping the changes in ram, without actually applying them to nvram, so those saved changes do not effect on the router. this manouver allows you to make tons of changes through the router&#039;s menu and then apply them all at the same time with APPLY, rebooting the router and making the those changes permanent.

I own an Asus wl-520gc actually and yesterday i succesfully flashed it with DD_WRT firmware v24 sp1 and it works like a charm. i can now boost antenna&#039;s power (and coveredge), follow wireless and LAN traffic and a lot more.

It&#039;s an old, cheap router but a solid one for residential use. The GU version even has an USB port and printer service running on it.</description>
