The Objective
The objective of this contest is to encourage participation in discussion, to learn and to share.
Here’s How It Works
- I will choose one of the commentators (among the list below) as the winner after the contest period ends.
- Anyone can enter this contest - I don’t care where you live, how old you are or even what you are!
- The contest period ends on 31st July 2008
- Comments are counted from 1st June 2008 to 31st July 2008. (Yes yes, I decided to give some people a headstart to add to the challenge!)
- Comments are only valid if the article is dated 31st May 2008 and later. (Yes, no spamming of past articles.)
- The Kingmax 1GB DDR2 667 will be given to the introducer of the winner! Basically if you introduce a friend and he / she wins the prize, you’ll get the Kingmax 1GB DDR2 667 if they acknowledge you as the introducer.
What Do You Have To Do?
Just post comments - casual chat is fine, mild spamming is fine.
NOTE : I will be deciding what is spam and what is not.
NOTE : Commentators without VALID E-mail address will not be entertained.
NOTE : Rules, Terms and Conditions or whatever else are subjected to change should there arise any unwelcoming circumstances that may spoil the fun of the contest.
TIP : Try to create conversation, it will give you opportunity to reply, hence more comments.
What You Shouldn’t Do?
- Please don’t attempt to fraud or be cheeky.
- No vulgar words.
- No EMO comments. (meaning you should maintain manners when commenting)

Update #1 - 1st July 2008
I regret to inform that some rules of the contest had to be changed to make the contest better, and it had better be changed on the 2nd day of the contest rather than half way through.
The objective of this contest is to encourage participation in discussion, to learn and to share, I was hoping for a NORMAL course of participation but unfortunately we see people spamming on almost every other article they can find. Such action, while within the rules, are spoiling the fun of the contest - people come the site and “OMFG!!?!? That fella has like 44 comments on the 2nd day of contest!??!” - it ends up discouraging participation. It’ll be pointless like that if I’m knowing who’s the winner even on day 1.
NOW - we’ll only count comments that are posted from articles that are dated May 31st onwards.
At least for those who are interested in participation wouldn’t need to hunt down practically half the articles on the site just to gain a standing chance.
Update #1 - 2nd July 2008
Despite my best effort to make it an opportunity for all, spammers aren’t making it easy. Again, it’s only day 2 of the contest and I’m having crazy amount of spam and if we’re going to use TOP COMMENTATOR as the gauge, then it’s already clear who is the winner - and that defeats the purpose of the contest.
So now, I’m afraid I have to make another change - I will choose the winner at random, you’ll just have to be part of the 50 persons listed below to be eligible for the LUCKY DRAW.
Yes, forgive me for having to change the rules again due to my lack of fore-sight of what is to come. I believe the change is for the good of the contest and the entire community. The contest would be pointless if goldfries.com rewards someone who spams or only posts questions in the comments.
