I think the older processors and system could actually be draining more TDP. please do check it out.

those system also use IDE hard disk, which are slower and drain more power than SATA hard disks. :)

So, if I plan to torrent 24/7 or download anything, I should consider a low end PC like pentium 2 or 3 with Energy Star?

No leh fren, if i were to include opening of window, then I might as well also include installation of high HP air-con or migrate to cooler country :P none of them reduces the amount of heat generated. :D

You forgot the possible way of dispersing the heat OUTSIDE your house.

A.K.A opening the window near your PC. (If it's near a window that is.)

Yep, it doesn't change the fact that my PC still produce a lot of heat, but at least I don't feel it in my room right. Hehe.

liquid cooling would be just another form of processor cooling. it cools the processor but air still goes out to the room in the end. heat generate is still the same.

even if you use the ceiling fan and whatever fan for airflow, it doesn't reduce the amount of heat generated.

it's just you feel cooler due to air movement. so end up you're using more energy just to cool the heat. :)

I believe that the best way is not to use the computer unless necessary.

Anyway, I wish to highlight something. Liquid Cooling, does it really help as well?

I have 3 fan to help the air flow but when you say the room temperature will remain the same, how does it implies when we use a ceiling fan in a room? Doesn't it help to reduce the temperature?

Please enlighten me. If I am wrong, do correct me.
